We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Health and Social Care to join our dynamic secondary school in Chelmsford. As a Teacher of Health and Social Care, you will be responsible for delivering a well-rounded curriculum that caters to mixed-ability students, helping them achieve success through both controlled assessments and examinations across KS3, KS4, and KS5.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the Health and Social Care curriculum at KS3, KS4, and KS5, providing students with an accessible course that is engaging and relevant to real-world contexts
  • Guide students through controlled assessments and exams, supporting them to develop the skills necessary to succeed in both formats
  • Teach students at KS4 about human development over the lifespan, and help them apply this knowledge in the wider Health and Social Care context
  • At KS5, build upon prior learning to deepen students' understanding of individual needs, growth, and development, using case studies and role-play activities
  • Ensure that students are well-prepared for their examinations by providing targeted support, revision resources, and opportunities to consolidate their learning
