Job Title: HR Advisor - German Speaking

Location: Uxbridge

Contract Details: Permanent, Full Time, Hybrid

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum

Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR guidance and support to line management, conducting regular meetings with business units
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, conducting thorough investigations
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and regulatory standards, collaborating with the legal department as necessary
  • Offer performance management guidance, including coaching, career development, and disciplinary actions
  • Work closely with management and employees to enhance work relationships, morale, productivity, and retention
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on contract terms for new hires, promotions, and transfers
  • Align with Talent & Reward policies and procedures
  • Contribute to workforce planning, business unit restructures, and succession planning
  • Identify training needs, evaluate and monitor training programmes to ensure objectives are met
  • Define and manage cost efficiency initiatives in HR-related areas and maintain HR budgets
  • Analyse trends and metrics, developing solutions, programmes, and policies in partnership with the HR team
  • Ensure HR services and programmes align with management philosophy and address employee needs
  • Interact with local and international departments, customers, vendors, and labour authorities as required
  • Assist management in implementing HR initiatives to improve employee quality of work, motivation, and retention
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Essential:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues
  • Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines, including compensation practises, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and employment laws
  • Fluent in English and be able to read write and converse to an intermediate/proficient level in German
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and organisational skills
  • Ability to interpret and apply applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies
  • Thorough understanding of organisational hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, and compensation practises
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Self-disciplined with the ability to work autonomously on assigned projects
  • Effective interaction with internal and external counterparts, with sensitivity to cultural diversity
  • Creative problem-solving and workload organisation skills
  • Customer and retail orientation
  • Adaptability in an ever-changing environment
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Flexibility to travel as required within the country and abroad, including some weekends

Desirable:

  • College or University degree
  • HR Certification preferred
