Job Title: CAD Designer

They are seeking a skilled CAD Designer to join their dynamic team.
Position Summary: They are looking for an experienced CAD Designer with a background in the structural steel manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed CAD 2D & 3D drawings for construction, marine, and industrial projects, generating profile drawings for CNC cutting, and developing workshop manufacturing drawings. You will also create concept drawings for tenders and presentations and manage manufacturing documents in compliance with our EN1090, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and SSIP standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce accurate 2D & 3D CAD drawings for construction, marine, and industrial projects.
- Generate profile drawings for CNC cutting.
- Create detailed workshop manufacturing drawings.
- Develop concept drawings for tenders and client presentations.
- Manage and control manufacturing documents and records in line with EN1090, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and SSIP audit requirements.
- Perform material take-offs and prepare material lists for pricing and procurement.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in the structural steel manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
- Strong understanding of construction, marine, and industrial drawing standards.
- Experience in creating CNC profile drawings and workshop manufacturing drawings.
- Familiarity with EN1090, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and SSIP standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Salary: £30,000 - £50,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
