As a Behaviour Mentor, you will be working alongside pupils with complex behavioural needs who require some additional guidance from a positive and assertive role model! You will support them with their everyday routine and keep them engaged and motivated to learn in the classroom.
- * This is an ideal position for a Psychology/Criminology graduate who is seeking first-hand experience before pursuing a career as a Prison Liaison Officer, Therapist, Counsellor or Youth Mentor amongst others. **

Behaviour Mentor - Job role:
- Supporting children with a range of SEN to keep them engaged in the classroom
- Encourage the development of the student's social skills
- Work within the classroom and in smaller groups to accommodate needs
- Support and comply with the school's safeguarding procedures
- September Start - Full-time - Full academic year
- £105 - £110 per day - Term time only
- Located in the Borough of Newham
Behaviour Mentor - Candidate Specification:
- A 2:1 or a First-class degree from a reputable University
- Genuine interest in working with SEN
- Excellent communication skills and willingness to adapt
- Experience in a previous role or personal experience in SEN is desirable
- Calm and compassionate nature
