VIQU have partnered with a tech-forward public sector organisation dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals in their community.
They are seeking a talented Azure Infrastructure Engineer Team to join their team on a 12 OR 24 month Fixed Term Contract to lead the migration of data centres from on-premises systems to an Azure environment, focusing on Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions. The Azure Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for managing cloud-based platforms, overseeing application deployment across various devices, and ensuring smooth transitions in line with organisational standards. Additionally, the successful Azure Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for maintaining technical documentation and implementing changes following ITIL guidelines.
Key Responsibilities of the Azure Infrastructure Engineer:
- Develop, Design and Implement the Azure cloud infrastructure, including the provision of Windows servers and PaaS solutions.
- Support and sustain on-site infrastructure, such as virtual servers and backup and recovery systems.
- Enhance and administer Exchange Online and Entra ID platforms.
- Utilise Intune to package and distribute applications across our diverse range of devices, including Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android.
- Develop precise and relevant technical documentation.
- Implement and manage change processes following ITIL standards.
Experience Required of the Azure Infrastructure Engineer:
- Possession of Microsoft Azure certifications, including Virtual Desktop, Solutions Architect Expert, and M365 Administrator Expert.
- Demonstrated experience as an Azure Infrastructure Engineer or Specialist in a large organization, with the capability to operate independently and adapt quickly.
- Strong skills in configuring and managing Azure environments, encompassing compute, identity, AI, and virtual learning. Expertise in setting up Azure virtual servers, virtual desktops, and Entra ID is essential.
- Exceptional technical and interpersonal abilities, enabling you to offer expert guidance to IT colleagues and efficiently resolve third-line incidents and requests for our staff.
- You will hold Microsoft Azure certifications such as Virtual Desktop, Solutions Architect Expert and M365 Administrator Expert.
- You must have a valid driving license and access to a vehicle.
