Group Strategic Analytics (GSA) is part of Group Chief Operation Office (COO) which acts as the bridge between the Bank's businesses and infrastructure functions to help deliver the efficiency, control, and transformation goals of the Bank.

You will be joining the Kannon Core Build Team, which is responsible for building, testing, and releasing the Kannon Application, a business-critical application used within Deutsche Bank. Our work underpins the successful delivery of business needs, including delivering Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) tools, Test Automation and Monitoring, as well as Reference Data management and Grid compute orchestration.

You will work with broader Deutsche Bank Technology groups and Control functions to address regulatory demands and ensure appropriate governance and adherence to agreed policy. The work will require a solid grasp of build pipeline tools and technologies, including TeamCity, Bitbucket, Shell scripting.

Your key responsibilities

  • Ensure the build pipeline is enhanced and maintained
  • Implement new, automated, processes either within, or through enhancements to strategic infrastructure or through new solutions
  • Engage with Internal SDLC standards groups to understand and implement agreed standards
  • Develop solutions and controls to improve integration of the application stack with the various functions across Group Analytics
  • Work in partnership with Trading, Structuring, Methodology, Technology and Operations to support the build-out of the strategic analytics platforms
  • Managing and executing the full release process for multiple target and target types

Your skills and experience

  • Excellent computing and programming/scripting skills as the toolset is heavily reliant upon Shell script and Python
  • Significant working experience of implementing, maintaining, and using automated build and test software development pipelines
  • Significant Linux experience, experience of Windows, infrastructure and database technologies such as My Structured Query Language, Oracle, Redis, relational database management system (RMDS
  • Able to multi-task different projects and prioritise against tight deadlines
  • Educated to Bachelor's degree level or equivalent qualification/relevant work experience such as Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Maths, or Finance would be beneficial
  • Experience within Banking or Finance and an understanding of cash and derivatives financial products
