Housing and Support Assistant

Part-time (30 hours on a shift rota including weekends)

Our client in the Uxbridge area are looking for a dedicated Housing and Support Assistant to join their team, providing high-quality housing and support to our residents. This role is often the first point of contact for our residents and visitors, requiring a professional who can handle a range of queries and offer holistic advice. The successful candidate will be a key player in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment, acting as a first aider, fire marshal, and ensuring the wellbeing of our residents.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for residents and visitors, responding to queries and providing information and advice.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service and ensure a positive service experience for all contacts.
  • Perform reception duties, including telephone switchboard service, sorting post, logging repairs, and processing payments.
  • Conduct regular patrols and carry out Wellbeing and Facilities checks.
  • Welcome new residents, explain paperwork, and ensure understanding of policies and procedures.
  • Process rental payments and assist with housing management tasks to maximise occupancy and minimise voids.
  • Record maintenance issues and liaise with emergency services as necessary.
  • Maintain up-to-date, accurate records and reports of incidents and accidents.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Good working knowledge of equality and diversity.
  • Experience in a customer-facing environment that requires problem-solving and a positive approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organisational skills combined with proficient IT skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work a shift pattern including evenings and weekends.
  • Desirable: Housing Diploma or Qualification, experience in face-to-face support work, and a full UK driving licence.
