Job Overview:
ASA Recruitment are looking to expand our team of talented cooks to work with our wide portfolio of great clients that we work closely with. This allows us to place you in a position that is not only viable, but it allows you to have trust in us to place you with the right client.
Responsibilities:
- To prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to our menus and recipes considering dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Adapt recipes to meet the specific needs, considering texture modification and dietary guidelines.
- Ensure that all food is prepared and served in a timely manner and meets quality standards
- Help manage stock control, ordering and receiving supplies as needed to ensure our kitchen is fully stocked, as well as adherence to daily/weekly legal documentation
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety in accordance with relevant regulations.
Requirements:
- Valid Right to Work in the UK
- Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a care home setting (not essential).
- Food Hygiene and Food Allergen Certificate
- Understanding of food safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organised kitchen.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- CV covering 5 years work history
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Good attention to detail
- PVG update required through ASA.
