Hays are working with a reputable company based in Shrewsbury who are looking for a Fleet Administrator on a permanent basis. This role would be ideal for an experienced vehicle/fleet Administrator with a proven track record and someone who wants to work in a friendly environment.
Your new role
As Fleet Administrator, your role will involve:
Work as part of a team to ensure delivery of Fleet Services' strategic priorities, support a culture of organisational learning and sustain the wellbeing of self and others. This role has specific responsibility to:

  • Support the Service Desk Manager to maintain the delivery of an effective and efficient service
  • Maintain in a timely manner, appropriate vehicle registration documentation.
  • Undertake daily uploads of vehicle data directly into TFL databases to ensure appropriate exemption and / or discount to the Congestion charge and ULEZ
  • Process all requests for non-UK vehicle breakdown cover
  • Receive, validate and input daily, vehicle mileages received from departments into the fleet management system to assist in pre-planning necessary vehicle events.
  • Document and process map all fleet administrative activities and assist in ongoing business developments and improvements.
  • Provide advice and action all aspects of vehicle hire and leasing to MPS customers and provide a contact point for the hire vehicle suppliers.
  • Receive, review and process requests for self-drive hire vehicles, car and driver services, coach and driver services and specialist operated vehicles.
  • Provide a Service Desk call centre facility; receive and action general enquiries from MPS customers, or redirect within Fleet Service to ensure timely and appropriate action.
  • Process supplier invoices in a timely fashion and meet agreed payment terms.

What you'll need to succeed
As a Fleet Administrator you will need to be a proven Administrator within an automotive environment.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and engage with staff and officers at all levels.
  • Work effectively alone or as part of a team.
  • Ability to analyse and manipulate data.
  • Excellent computer skills in MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a calm disposition when under pressure.
  • High degree of data input accuracy.
  • Prioritisation of workload according to conflicting demand.
