We are seeking a Private Client Solicitor for our clients' busy, expanding Private Client department in Gravesend.
This respected law firm in Kent holds a notable position in the Legal 500 and often draws experienced City lawyers. In light of ongoing expansion, they are looking for a Private Client Solicitor with over 3 years of post-qualification experience to join their team in Gravesend.
Responsibilities
This is a busy and varied role covering all aspects of private client work. Experience and knowledge is required in the following fields:
- Estate and Care Fees Planning
- Wills and Will Writing
- Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Court of Protection
- Trusts and Trust Administration
- Probate and Administration of Estates
- Inheritance Tax Planning and Investments
- Charities
- Deputyship
STEP would be preferable but not essential; the Firm assists in career development/studying and candidates undertaking STEP will also be considered.
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor: 3 years min PQE
- STEP qualification or equivalent (desired)
- Additional relevant professional accreditations are desirable
- Consistent private client knowledge, focusing particularly on wills, trusts, estates and tax issues.
- Ability to manage caseload of files with minimal supervision.
- Ability to prioritise work and use initiative to meet deadlines
- Strong business development and networking skills are advantageous
- Excellent communication and client management abilities
