We are delighted to be able to bring to market this exclusive opportunity for a Graduate Claims Handler to join one of the most exciting insurers in the market, a Norwegian company based in Spinningfields.

The Opportunity:

Our client is one of the fastest growing insurers in the UK, a Norwegian based company who expanded to the UK in 2015 and have grown rapidly in the last 9 years. With rapid growth comes great opportunity for the right people. We are now looking to recruit a highly motivated graduate to join as a Claims Handler as part of the busy Property Claims team at their head office in Manchester City Centre.

This really is a unique and incredibly exciting opportunity for you to enter a career in Claims and one not to be missed! Prior insurance experience is not necessary as this role will enable you to very quickly develop and expand your understanding of the claims process and subsequently your technical capability. As well as gaining 'on the job' experience from day one, you will also be supported via internal and external training.

You will be presented with a broad range of challenging and exciting tasks as part of your role. Your learning capacity will be challenged continuously, and you will develop unique relationships both internally and externally with both clients and brokers. The claims arena is a fantastic place to learn how insurance is arranged, brokered and the role of insurers of not only handling claims but working with clients to reduce risk.

Skills Required:

  • To be considered for this exciting and challenging role, you must want to work in a fast-paced environment where open and direct communication is part of the culture.
  • With a strong academic background, this role will 100% suit a graduate looking to enter a career in Insurance.
  • Experience of working in a client facing or customer service led position will be hugely beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are vital, as this will be a role where you may need to interrogate, interview and probe where necessary to get the right result.
  • Be well organised, able to prioritise workload and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong IT knowledge will be required, in particular Microsoft Office.
