Children Residential Support Worker

Presently we are keen to identify new staff to supplement our current team of amazing support workers and are particularly interested in candidates who wish to work on this basis. This is for day shifts and wake night shifts.

We are looking for ad hoc residential support workers for Sheffield and Doncaster City Council supporting young people placed in the care system or children with disabilities.

As a residential support worker, you will provide the highest standards of care to the young people aged between 10 -18 years.

you will support the children in a homely environment to meet their individual needs and overcome their challenges preparing them to live full and happy lives

This is on-going for several weeks and would suit people looking for top up or casual work.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide care and support to young people aged 10-18 years in a homely environment.
  • Overcome challenges and meet individual needs to prepare young people for fulfilling lives.
  • Act as a positive role model and corporate parent.
  • Work on an ad hoc basis, including waking nights.

Requirements:

  • Naturally caring, flexible, and resilient.
  • Experience in residential childcare or similar
  • Ability to maintain high standards of care.
