Macildowie is delighted to be exclusively partnering with a leading Coventry-based company to recruit for an experienced Credit Analyst. This is a collaborative position focusing on implementing and managing the company's credit insurance policy and associated processes. You will work closely with internal teams such as Credit Services, Cashiers, and Finance, playing a critical role in policy analysis, reporting, and process improvements.

Salary: Up to £45,000 per anum
Hours & Flexibility: 37.5 hours per week, with 2 days home working
Contract: 12 Months FTC

The Role

This exciting opportunity will allow the successful Credit Analyst to become the go-to person for everything related to the company's credit insurance policy. You'll collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders, including credit insurers, brokers, and IT teams, while playing a key role in shaping new policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of Credit Operations in the implementation and management of the credit insurance policy.
  • Collaborate with credit insurers, brokers, project teams, and other internal departments to ensure successful policy integration.
  • Handle credit insurance claims and maintain relationships with brokers and underwriters.
  • Define reporting requirements for the Credit Insurance Policy and ensure documentation remains current.
  • Assist with reviews of the Insured Customer Portfolio, ensuring all credit limits and policies are up to date.
  • Perform data checks to maximise coverage and mitigate risks.
  • Respond to credit insurance alerts and take the necessary actions.
  • Ensure company-wide adherence to credit policy and procedures in partnership with the credit control teams.

Key Results Areas

  • Successful implementation of the credit insurance policy and related procedures.
  • Increased insurance coverage through the accurate application of credit insurance policies.
  • Management of the Insured Limit Portfolios, ensuring efficient handling of alerts.

What You'll Bring

  • Strong working knowledge of Trade Credit and Credit Insurance (policy management and claims handling).
  • An understanding of Credit Risk Management and financial analysis.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong teamwork capabilities with a constructive, collaborative approach.
  • High level of accuracy, excellent numerical skills, and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Credit Management Systems.
  • Professional certification in Credit Management is desirable.
  • Minimum 2 year's experience within a similar role
