Shift Pattern Start 07:00 Shift Pattern End: 22:00
Your main responsibilities may also include:
- Conduct regular patrols throughout the shopping centre to deter and detect criminal activity.
- Respond swiftly and effectively to security incidents, including theft, vandalism, anti-social behaviour, and public disturbances.
- Work closely with emergency services and law enforcement agencies when required.
- Assist in implementing the centre's counter-terrorism strategy by maintaining awareness of potential threats and taking appropriate action when necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service, assisting shoppers and visitors with directions and information.
- Enforce the centre's policies, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Prepare accurate incident reports and daily logs, ensuring detailed records of any security issues.
- Act as a visible presence to deter criminal activity and offer reassurance to visitors.
- Participate in regular training and development sessions, including counterterrorism and emergency response training.
To succeed in this role you will need the following:
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Close Protection Licence (essential).
- First Aid at Work certification.
- Previous experience in a security role, preferably in a large retail or shopping centre environment. Ex Police or military is advantageous.
- Strong awareness of counter-terrorism measures and protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Attention to detail and the ability to respond swiftly and efficiently to security incidents.
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
- A strong sense of integrity and responsibility, with a commitment to maintaining a secure environment.
