The purpose of this role is to identify, develop and deliver early careers focused programmes of learning across SGN UK locations. This role plays an integral part in the development of SGN's future talent community. I help to keep people safe and warm by...

  • Supporting and coordinating the implementation of the emerging talent strategy across SGN UK locations, providing both practical and strategic advice, guidance, and support to internal stakeholders to ensure talent programmes are effectively delivered.
  • Continually reviewing the talent development cycle, experience, and processes - being responsible for the effective implementation of quality, strategic, and programme delivery improvement plans.
  • Being responsible for learning and skills delivery of emerging talent activities across all SGN locations, using our internal Learning Management System (Cornerstone), internal and external training partners.
  • Positively managing relationships with our internal and external training suppliers, colleges, universities, professional bodies, and internal SMEs/stakeholders.
  • Managing individual and programme learning & skills progression throughout the programme duration, offering advice and pastoral support to our emerging talent community.
  • Working with the wider HR Directorate to support early talent recruitment campaigns, including school events, careers fairs, and assessment days.
  • Managing the design, coordination, and delivery of emerging talent induction programmes.

What you'll need

  • Previous experience of apprenticeship and/or graduate programme management within a highly compliant industry
  • Able to effectively communicate and liaise with stakeholders at varying levels, work to tight deadlines, prioritise varying workloads and project manage several projects simultaneously
  • Ability to identify issues proactively and ensure the situation is resolved as a priority
  • Experience of funded learning programmes - i.e. ESFA/SDS funding regulations and apprenticeship frameworks/standards
  • Proficient with all Microsoft office packages
