Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated Key Stage 1 (KS1) teacher to join our vibrant team, located in the heart of WF1. As a KS1 teacher, you will be instrumental in providing engaging and supportive education to children during this crucial stage of their development.This is a day-to-day working position starting in September 2024.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver dynamic and interactive lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs and interests of KS1 students.
  • Utilize a range of teaching strategies and resources to promote literacy, numeracy, and key skills development in line with the KS1 curriculum.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, building trust and confidence to support their academic and personal growth.
  • Assess student progress and attainment through ongoing observation, formative assessments, and summative evaluations.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to students, celebrating their achievements and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with parents and carers, involving them in their child's learning journey and addressing any concerns or queries promptly.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Minimum UK primary teaching experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK primary curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Valid Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one) is essential.
