Spencer Clarke Group are working in partnership with a Secondary School in Wigan who are looking to appoint a Music Teacher for a Maternity Cover starting in January 2025.
You will be working within a 11 to 16 mixed comprehensive high school.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Music Teacher to join our faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality music lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. This role requires a passion for music, excellent teaching skills, and the ability to inspire students to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging music lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Foster a love for music by creating an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
- Assess and track students' progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their potential
- Organise and participate in extra-curricular activities, including school concerts and musical productions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop the music curriculum and integrate cross-curricular learning opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Degree in Music or a related field.
- Previous experience teaching music at the secondary level is preferred.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and inspire young learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
