Payroll Specialist (full or part time) | Contract | North Shropshire| c£50,000 DOE | Office based / hybrid-working / fully remote
Our client are looking for a knowledgeable payroll professional to assist with an outsourcing project either on a full or part time basis
The Company
Seymour John are delighted to be working in exclusive partnership with a business based in North Shropshire who are looking for assistance with an outsourcing project on a short-term contract. Ideally this would be a hybrid opportunity, although our client is open to some being fully remote, perhaps with some occasional presence on site if required.
The Opportunity
Reporting to HR, you will be responsible for the delivery and completion of an outsourcing payroll project which is already well underway. Our client is therefore seeking a competent payroll professional to assist with:
- Liaising with the external outsourced payroll organisation
- Parallel payroll runs to ensure a smooth transition
- Liaising with employees regarding changes
Ideally you will have been involved with a payroll outsourcing project previously, although this is not essential, however, we are looking for solid payroll experience to include:
- Exceptional knowledge of full cycle payroll processing
- Processing both weekly and monthly payrolls
- Manual calculations
- Liaising with external bodies such as HMRC, Pension providers, etc
- Excellent customer service to effectively communicate with employees and outsourced payroll provider to smoothly deliver the project to its conclusion.
Personal Profile
We are keen to speak to candidates who are available to start a project during August/early September, which could last for a 2-3 month period. You will have robust payroll experience and ideally have prior knowledge of running a similar project, although this isn't essential. You will be expected to take the lead on this project during its final stages until completion.
