We are currently seeking to recruit a Head of Rent and Service Charges. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned leader with extensive experience in setting rents and preparing service charges. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen, a proven ability to implement and manage change, exceptional team management skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement income generation strategies that align with Hyde's goals and objectives.
  • Rent and Service Charge Management: Oversee the setting, management, and administration of rents and service charges.
  • Change Management: Drive and manage change initiatives to improve processes and outcomes within the rent and service charge function.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor the income management team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, maintaining accurate records and documentation.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • In-depth understanding of rent and service charges within the social housing sector.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to convey complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints effectively.
  • Experience in setting and managing income streams, including rent and service charges, is highly desirable.

The advertised salary reflects the prevailing market rate for this position. Candidates without prior experience in senior leadership position will be offered the starting salary for the role.
