You will be joining the BLAFC team which advises the Deutsche Bank businesses on best practice and standards for risk-mitigation reflecting the applicable provisions of the German AML Act, the German Banking Act and applicable local laws in each jurisdiction in which the business lines operate.

Your key responsibilities

  • Lead development and enhancement of AFC related controls, in support of Commodities and Emissions Trading and ongoing AFC support
  • Develop ongoing and open communication with representatives across the Commodities and Emission Trading business and other key stakeholders, including Client Lifecycle Management, Compliance Department and Legal Department, to ensure timely AFC support to the Base Metals business
  • Advise/ drive AFC best practices and harmonisation to mitigate financial crime risk in Base Metals reflecting German AML Act, German Banking Act, United States (US), United Kingdom (UK) and local laws
  • Point of contact for ongoing Commodities and Emissions Trading financial crime risk matters, identifying cross-regional trends, supporting the execution of initiatives and projects, and supporting AFC management of global client multi-jurisdictional adoptions/ reviews/ escalations

Your skills and experience

  • Previous relevant AFC experience in the financial services industry
  • Understanding of AML regulation and regulatory expectations in Germany, UK and US
  • Ability to analyse, understand, propose, and implement recommendations on key AFC matters
  • Knowledge of Investment Banking businesses and associated products
  • Ability to address, influence and work collaboratively with peers across the organisation
