Children's & Famlie's Worker - Community Drug and Alcohol Services

Overview:

P4 Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and experienced M-PACT Worker on behalf of our well-respected client. This role involves delivering vital support to families with children whose parents are struggling with substance misuse across Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of families in need.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the M-PACT programme to families across Essex.
  • Liaise with partner agencies to generate and receive appropriate referrals.
  • Assess the suitability of families for the M-PACT programme.
  • Ensure high-quality service delivery and successful outcomes for children and their parents.
  • Manage and maintain client records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Safeguard vulnerable adults and children by identifying and reporting concerns.
  • Recruit, train, and support facilitators for the programme.
  • Facilitate family conferences and ensure ongoing care and support plans for clients post-programme.
  • Participate in regular progress reviews and staff support sessions.
  • Engage in personal and professional development to continually enhance skills.

**Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience working with families in community or residential care/support services.
  • Strong skills in needs and risk assessments.
  • Experience in facilitating groups, workshops, and structured family meetings.
  • Knowledge of the 12-step programme, motivational enhancement, and cognitive-behavioural interventions.
  • Ability to maintain empathy while upholding professional boundaries.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a solid understanding of data protection legislation.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and continuous professional development.
  • An open and non-judgemental attitude towards clients and their families.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding protocols and incident reporting.
  • Experience using electronic case management systems.
  • Ability to assess client needs and connect them with appropriate services.
