Energy Administrator

West Sussex County Council is looking for an Energy Administrator to join our dedicated team.

Salary: £23,500 to £23,893 per annum.

Location: Your main office will be County Hall, Chichester. You will have the opportunity to occasionally work from home, with this being determined by the service's needs.

Contract: 1-year Fixed Term Contract.

Working pattern: Full-time, 37 hours per week. Flexible working options available, to be agreed with your line manager.

Employer Pension Contribution: 20.70% this alters per annum on the 1 April each year.

Annual leave: 25 days holiday + Bank holidays = 33 days.

Interviews: To be held at County Hall, Chichester on the 3rd & 4th October.

In this role you will provide a customer focused and efficient administrative service. You will have the ability to prioritise your daily tasks in accordance with team requirements and service objectives.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Data entry,
  • Filing,
  • Arranging meetings and sending agendas,
  • Collating information,
  • Updating spreadsheets and databases,
  • Running reports
  • Processing applications,
  • Updating council IT systems.

What we need from you:

  • Verbal communication skills for answering telephone queries effectively and communicating with colleagues and customers.
  • Written communication skills.
  • Numeracy skills.
  • Ability to embrace change and adapt to changing situations and new ways of working positively and effectively. Including the ability to learn new systems and processes.
  • Sound IT skills.
  • Relevant technical knowledge of procedures and practices associated with delivering an administrative service.
  • Experience of working in an office environment.
