The successful candidate will have expertise in delivering Food Technology at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

As a Food Technology Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and motivate students to explore their creative potential while developing practical skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach A-level Food Technology.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for cooking and nutrition.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic and practical skills development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the Food Technology curriculum and participate in cross-curricular initiatives.
  • Organize and participate in extracurricular activities, such as cooking clubs, food competitions, and community events, to enrich students' learning experiences.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Food Technology, Nutrition, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching Food Technology at the secondary school level.
  • Strong knowledge of the Food Technology curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passionate about creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
