Key Responsibilities for the Maintenance Engineer Role:

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on advanced systems including BMS, mechanical, HVAC, pneumatics, fire suppression, and electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Troubleshoot and conduct first-line repairs of specialised F1 equipment, including Gearbox and Clutch Dyno, Rolling Road, Autoclaves, CNC machines, lathes, and routers.
  • Respond quickly to maintenance emergencies such as power outages, leaks, or equipment failures, ensuring minimal downtime for high-performance operations.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and equipment inventories, ensuring compliance with Formula 1 industry standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues in a fast-paced environment, working alongside internal teams to implement permanent corrective actions.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional departments to ensure the reliability and safety of all systems.
  • Manage and monitor spare parts inventories, TPM and PPM systems, and work within service budgets.
  • Provide cover on a day shift basis with occasional support during race weekends as required.

Skills, Knowledge, and Behaviours Required for the Maintenance Engineer Role:

  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, with experience in maintaining high-performance motorsport equipment.
  • Strong analytical skills and a highly organised approach to maintenance planning and execution.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals and apply this knowledge in real-time problem-solving scenarios.
  • Proven track record of working in high-pressure, deadline-driven environments, such as motorsport or manufacturing.
  • Exceptional communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Flexibility to work independently or as part of a high-functioning team, with a proactive and professional attitude.
