Learning Support Manager

Reed FE are delighted to work with this Further Education College who have an exciting new opportunity for a Learning Support Manager to take the lead for ensuring high quality learning support is planned and provided.

Day to Day of the role;

  • Ensuring inclusive support arrangements are managed effectively for all learners including those that do not receive high needs funding.
  • Supporting the Head of Inclusive Leaning in managing the overall Learning Inclusion Service to meet the College's Strategic and Operational objectives within budget.
  • Lead, develop, and manage high quality, cost effective admissions and support service for learners requiring Additional Needs
  • Work in partnership with Specialist Services, both internally and externally alongside curriculum colleagues to ensure support is of a consistent high standard.
  • Lead, develop and manage the implementation of relevant legislation in relation to young people at College.
  • Managing assessment of learners for inclusive support requirements including maths and English access arrangements.

Requirements

  • Successful and proven track record in managing support services for learners with for example sensory impairments, social & emotional, mental health issues, physical disabilities, medical conditions, enhancing student
  • Successful record of leading and managing staff
  • Successful and proven track record in delivering staff development training and other identifiable personal achievements in the disability field
  • Educated to Level 3 minimum, a management /SEND qualifications are desirable.
