We are seeking a dedicated Lecturer in Automotive to join our Engineering and Automotive Department. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and delivering high-quality teaching materials and sessions across various modules or within a specific subject area. The successful candidate will inspire and lead students to achieve high standards and success in their academic pursuits.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Develop and deliver dynamic learning programmes that meet the needs of learners, employing a diverse range of teaching and learning strategies.
- Identify and assess learners' needs throughout their programme of study.
- Plan, design, and deliver learning programmes and sessions that align with course aims, objectives, modes of assessment, and accreditation.
- Monitor, evaluate, and enhance the quality and effectiveness of learning programmes and personal teaching practices.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults within the College.
- Maintain high standards in customer care, equal opportunities, and health and safety practices for the benefit of learners and the community.
- Support course promotion, learner recruitment, and enrolment processes.
- Conduct effective assessment of learners to ensure that learning meets individual needs.
- Create and maintain a safe learning environment, promoting the fundamental British values of democracy, rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance.
- Utilise various teaching and learning tools to create engaging and inspiring learning opportunities.
- Provide academic and pastoral support to learners, aiding them in achieving their educational goals.
- Assess and provide feedback on learners' work to aid in their development.
- Lead a programme or course, ensuring high standards of behaviour and performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in teaching, particularly in the automotive field within an educational setting.
- Ability to design and implement effective teaching and learning strategies.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Commitment to promoting high standards in academic and personal development.
- Experience in managing classroom environments and student behaviour.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and data analysis to enhance teaching effectiveness and student learning.
- A qualification in education is highly desirable, preferably within the field of Engineering or Automotive.
