JOB ROLE: Cleaner/Domestic Assistant HOURS: Shifts covering 08.00 - 16.00 Monday to Sunday SALARY: £12.11 per hour DURATION: Temporary LOCATION: Newtonmore
Pertemps Scotland Ltd are currently recruiting for a Domestic Assistant for their client based in Newtonmore. This is a temporary assignment for 3 months covering shifts between Monday and Sunday starting immediately. You will be required to have a PVG for working with Adults and be willing to do a scheme update.
Duties include:
- Responsible for cleaning all the floors, furniture, fixtures, fittings, glassware, high and low level
- Surfaces and sanitary areas
- Perform complex cleans in line with infection prevention and control procedures to ensure areas are
- safe for resident occupation.
- Responsible for changing and making up of beds as required.
- Provision where applicable of a range of catering related duties e.g. making toast, setting up and
- distributing resident meals and beverages, assisting at meal service times
- Ensuring all resident food stuffs are correctly labelled and dated.
- Responsible for ensuring the safe disposal/packaging of waste
- Responsible for the completion of records/log sheets and personal signing in/out sheets.
- Receive, segregate, wash, dry, steam & press and redistribute residents' personal clothing and other
- items
Essential skills:
- Previous experience in a Cleaning/Domestic role
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate would be advantageous
- Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative
- Able to follow instructions
- Possess good communication skills
- Ability to respond constructively to unpredictable situations
- Be calm, focused and able to cope with work under pressure
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable
