Our client, a leading food group in Europe, is seeking an experienced Group Financial Reporting Manager to join their dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work within a finance function that is currently being fully designed to take the wider team into the world of best practice accounting and control. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the future of the company's finance operations, making this an exciting time to join.
What you'll do:
- Supervise and own the process of full Group consolidation working in conjunction with the Group Finance Manager.
- Be responsible for the production of multiple sets of financial statements within the Group.
- Work with external auditors and other Finance leaders to plan and run a smooth audit cycle.
- Carry out Corporation tax workings and submissions to Tax partners.
- Compile and submit monthly VAT returns ensuring smooth reporting to HMRC.
- Ensure business compliance with all statutory responsibilities.
- Support the design and implementation of a robust control environment focussed on risk management.
- Prepare additional reports and execute additional projects as required by business needs.
What you bring:
- ACCA/ACA/CIMA Qualified with at least 5 years PQE
- Previous experience managing a team
- IFRS/FRS/UK GAAP experience
- Experience working with group consolidations with complicated group structures
- Experience dealing with both Corporation Tax and VAT
- Strong understanding of control and process design, testing and reporting
- Strong interpersonal skills, including teamwork, collaboration and relationship building
