Job Description:

As a Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required for our commercial interior design and fit-out projects. You will ensure that all purchases are made at the best value, meet quality standards, and are delivered on time. You will work closely with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to support the successful execution of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and purchase materials, equipment, and services for commercial interior design and fit-out projects.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best value for the company.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and manage supplier contracts.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate timely deliveries to meet project schedules.
  • Ensure all purchases comply with project specifications, budget constraints, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and timelines.
  • Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and products that can enhance project outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
  • Resolve any issues related to orders, deliveries, and invoices in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Buyer in the construction industry, preferably in commercial interior design and fit-out projects.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards is a plus.
