Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver high-quality Science lessons that engage and challenge students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach A-level in your specialist subject (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
  • Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes active learning and scientific exploration.
  • Employ diverse teaching strategies and resources to meet the varied needs and abilities of students.
  • Regularly assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to support their progress and attainment.
  • Work collaboratively with the Science department and other staff to enrich the curriculum and incorporate innovative teaching practices.
  • Lead and participate in extracurricular activities, such as Science clubs, science fairs, and educational trips, to enhance students' learning experiences.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in a scientific discipline.
  • Proven experience teaching Science at the secondary school level.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Science curriculum and effective pedagogical strategies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment.
  • Enthusiastic about inspiring students to achieve their full potential in Science.
