Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and experienced English Teacher to inspire and engage students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in English literature and language, with a track record of motivating students to achieve their best. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons, developing a love for reading and writing, and supporting students' growth both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons that meet national curriculum standards.
  • Teach English to students of varying abilities, providing differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, offering constructive feedback to help them improve.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and a love for English.
  • Prepare students for GCSE (and potentially A-Level) exams, focusing on both content and exam technique.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices in teaching and assessment.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Strong knowledge of the English National Curriculum and assessment methods.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A passion for literature, language, and student success.
