Supply Planner - Packaging and Food Raw Materials
We are seeking a skilled MRP Controller to join one of the fast growing Food Brands in the UK. The Supply Planner will be responsible for materials planning, supply planning, and inventory management of Packaging and Food Raw Materials to ensure smooth production processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in packaging and Raw Materials planning, Inventory Management and Supplier Relationship Management within a food production environment within the FMCG industry.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute materials supply planning strategies to meet production demands across Packaging and Raw Materials.
- Monitor and analyze inventory levels to ensure optimum stock levels of Materials in lin with Production schedules
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast materials requirements and ensure timely replenishment
- Utilize Excel and ERP systems to track materials movements and maintain accurate data
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency
- Communicate with suppliers to secure timely and cost-effective materials supply through raising correct orders
Required Experience
- You Must have Experience working as a Materials Planner/Controller, Packaging Planner, Production Planner, or Supply Planner within a Food Manufacturing Environment
- Proven experience leading from the front and taking responsiblity for MRP Requirements end to end
- Strong experience of inventory management best practices and ensuring OTIF materials orders and deliveries in line with the production schedule
- Experience with managing large Material Data Sets within Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Excellent communication and Supplier Management experience
- Knowledge of food production processes and FMCG industry is a plus
Day to Day Responsibilities
- Planning, Analyzing and Forecasting materials requirements from a robust Production schedule - with a specific focus on Packaging and Raw Materials.
- Collaborating with production and procurement teams to ensure Material orders are processed and delivered OTIF
- Monitoring inventory levels and reordering supplies
- Updating and maintaining accurate records in Excel and the ERP/MRP system
- Communicating and managing key materials suppliers on a daily basis
