Randstad is currently hiring an enthusiastic Behaviour Support Worker for a school in Harrogate. Join us to positively influence students' lives and transform their educational experiences. Your role will involve working one-on-one and in small groups with students who have disengaged from traditional education. You will support students with a variety of learning difficulties and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, including Autism, and behavioural challenges. Your mission will be to help students overcome numerous barriers to learning!
The schools we collaborate with need qualified Behaviour Support Workers to assist pupils in small groups and on a one-to-one basis this term. This role requires your commitment from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm (hours may vary slightly), during term time only.
Candidates for this role should be nurturing, patient, and dedicated to making learning accessible for children with SEN needs.
Requirements
- Strong ability to relate to children and adults and communicate effectively at all levels.
- Experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Ability to work independently and as a cohesive team member.
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
