We are looking for a Logistics Manager with a strong background in multi-drop logistics and team leadership. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a team of 40, driving performance, quality, and efficiency of our clients commercial waste collection services across multiple counties and South Wales. This role is based in Gloucester but requires travel to satellite sites as needed.

Day to day of the role:

  • Lead and manage a team of coordinators and drivers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure timely and efficient waste collection services.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimise routes, reduce costs, and improve service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations and environmental standards.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by promptly addressing inquiries and resolving service issues.
  • Monitor operational performance and implement improvements to meet KPI metrics.
  • Manage resources effectively, including the maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
  • Uphold and enforce health and safety standards within the team and operations.
  • Assist in budgeting and financial planning for cost-effective operations.
  • Maintain excellent communication internally and externally, with a positive and approachable attitude.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in logistics management in multi-drop operations.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing a sizeable team.
  • Previous P&L responsibility would be highly advantageous
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to travel to various sites as required.
