Civil Engineering & Motorsport: The UK's Motorsport industry is one of the country's major success stories and is worth an estimated £9 Billion annually to the UK's economy. Not only is the UK the undisputed world leader in the development and construction of cutting edge racing machines, it excels at designing, innovating and building the complex infrastructure and facilities required to race, test and spectate. Civil engineering is at the heart of this. For any technician or engineer with a passing interest in motorsport the scale and complexity of these facilities will be clear to see. Working in this export driven industry will enable you to play a key role in developing iconic and innovative facilities in the UK , Middle East, USA, India, Australia, Mainland Europe, South East Asia and beyond.

The Role: Your workload will have an international bias, regular overseas travel with colleagues will be required. You will be working alongside civil engineers and CAD technicians to produce Auto CAD designs in 2D & 3D, as well as developing associated details and specifications. The emphasis of the work will be on race track design and associated infrastructure, it will encompass master planning and co-ordination with architectural colleagues, and liaison with the visualisation team to develop simulator models.

Your Profile: A degree qualified civil engineering technician, or engineer, with at least nine months work experience ( including relevant university work placement experience) who is proficient in Auto CAD or MicroStation. This should ideally have included some exposure to roads, highways, developer led infrastructure or similar. You should have an interest in exploiting engineering software to its full potential, and in 3D design. Good interpersonal skills are essential, this is a collaborative role working as part of a team bringing you in contact with clients and external consultants. A willingness to learn and develop is essential.

Hybrid Working: You will have the option of working from home two or three days per week.
