Randstad are working with a vibrant two-form entry primary school located in the heart of Watford, dedicated to fostering a nurturing and supportive environment for both staff and pupils. The Role

The school are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated KS1 teacher to cover a maternity leave position, teaching either Year 1 or Year 2, from September 2024 until July 2025. You will work closely with your year group partner to deliver engaging and high-quality lessons, fostering a love for learning in our young students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver creative and effective lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Monitor and assess pupils' progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes the well-being principles of the school
  • Collaborate with colleagues during weekly PPA time to ensure cohesive planning and delivery of the curriculum
  • Engage with parents and carers to maintain open and supportive communication regarding pupils' progress and well-being

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching in KS1
  • A passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering the well-being of all pupils
