The Role
The school are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated KS1 teacher to cover a maternity leave position, teaching either Year 1 or Year 2, from September 2024 until July 2025. You will work closely with your year group partner to deliver engaging and high-quality lessons, fostering a love for learning in our young students.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver creative and effective lessons in line with the National Curriculum
- Monitor and assess pupils' progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes the well-being principles of the school
- Collaborate with colleagues during weekly PPA time to ensure cohesive planning and delivery of the curriculum
- Engage with parents and carers to maintain open and supportive communication regarding pupils' progress and well-being

Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching in KS1
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering the well-being of all pupils
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive and positive approach to continuous professional development
