Interim Financial Controller

Interim Financial Controller | 12 - 15 months | Banking | up to £120k DOE | London/Hybrid

Communicate are partnering with an inspiring Challenger Bank as they look to bring on an established financial controller with experience managing teams and taking responsibility for reporting and analysis, controls, transactional finance and operations.

This organisation is looking for an individual who knows what good looks like in both banking and SME environments, so as to deliver exceptional results. This role is based within the London HQ and offered on a hybrid basis with 2-3 days in the office.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Reporting into the Finance Director, you will manage the finance team and oversee financial control, statutory reporting, month-end, year-end and review monthly payment runs
  • Leading local audits and supporting with the Group audit
  • Ability to manage a team, responsible for development, reviewing work and coaching
  • Involvement with ensuring systems and processes are efficient and providing improvements when required
  • Overlook ad hoc projects for the group

What we are looking for:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
  • An experienced manager, who is confident in coaching and developing teams
  • Sector experience in Banking/Challenger Banks as well as Start Ups is a must due (this can be from audit or in industry)
