Role: Maintenance Engineer
Salary: £32,000 to £35,000 per annum, plus benefits and opportunities
Hours: Monday to Friday, rotation 6am till 2pm, 11am till 7pm.
Location: Commutable from Sandown, Shanklin,Newport, Ryde, Cowes and surrounding areas

We are currently recruiting a Maintenance Engineer (electrical bias) to work within a large company at one of their smaller factories on Isle of Wight. You will benefit from a small, friendly and loyal team of Engineers working in this fast faced environment. They have internal and external training to help people grow in such areas like management training, electrical training, mechanical training, and more.

It is a multi skilled environment and someone with an electrical bias or pure electrical is required. Help, support and development will be provided for the right person to become a better and more rounded engineer.

Responsibilities

Maintenance Engineers get the opportunity to cover both electro-mechanical maintenance work across the factory, although most of the work is probably 60%/70% biased to electrical and you are encouraged and supported to develop your weaker side.

Your main and primary role is supporting production machinery. This includes combating and resolving breakdowns and machinery problems. Working through planned preventative maintenance. And lastly all and any project work too such as new installations etc.

Requirements

Maintenance or Service background in any environment, ideally industrial, manufacturing, production or automated etc. But most considered.
Completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship or hold electrical engineering qualifications.
Some/ANY of the following experience; motors, belts, bearings, chains, gears, pumps, boilers, sensors, inverters, relays, contactors, 3 phase, PLC's, pneumatics, hydraulics etc.
Good fault-finding skills
Friendly and adaptable working attitude
Proactive work attitude and keen to get your hands dirty
