Psychology Secondary Teacher

Remedy are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Psychology Secondary Teacher to join a team in Southend. As a Psychology Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a stimulating and challenging learning environment that will enable our students to develop their understanding of human behaviour and mental processes.

Key Responsibilities for a Psychology Teacher:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons in Psychology to students in Secondary School, from Year 9 to Year 13
  • Inspire and engage students, ensuring that they are challenged and supported to achieve their full potential in the subject.
  • Monitor and assess students' progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
  • Plan and deliver practical activities, experiments, and other activities that enhance students' learning experience and deepen their understanding of Psychology.
  • Ensure that all lessons are delivered in line with the school's policies and procedures, and that all relevant safeguarding and health and safety guidelines are followed.

Requirements for Psychology Teacher:

  • A degree in Psychology or a related field, with a postgraduate degree in Education or a teaching qualification such as PGCE or QTS
  • Experience of teaching Psychology in a Secondary School environment, with a proven track record of raising achievement and promoting engagement
  • A passion for the subject, with an in-depth understanding of current theories and research in Psychology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development, with a willingness to participate in school-wide initiatives and CPD opportunities.
