Yard and Workshop Assistant – Bristol BS1
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the yard and workshops in a clean and tidy state at all times.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles, ensuring accuracy against paperwork, checking for missing items, damages, and fuel charges when needed.
- Collaborate with our Workshop Fitters and Workshop Manager, demonstrating strong teamwork as well as the ability to work independently.
- Work collaboratively when required to complete tasks, maintaining a positive attitude and integrity.
- Assist fitting staff with various tasks as instructed, including lifting and moving, both in the depot and on-site.
- Clean hire equipment prior to workshop entry, using pressure or steam-cleaning equipment.
- Be polite and cooperative with staff and customers, promoting the company positively when on-site.
- Communicate accurately with your supervisor, colleagues, and customers regarding job specifications, ETAs, missing and damaged items, and obtain signatures and names when delivering or collecting.
- Comply with all PPE requirements for Selwood or site regulations.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- Driving licence desirable but not essential.
- Forklift B1 & B2 licence is essential.
- Previous experience within a similar working environment.
- Reliability is essential for this position.
