Business Administrator Mirfield, WF14 0DE

  • Full time: 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri with half an hour unpaid lunch break
  • Part time: 30 to 35 hours per week, Mon-Fri
  • £28,000 per annum FTE

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

Office Administration:

  • Handle phone calls, messages, mail, and visitor reception
  • Scan, file, and maintain office policies and employee HR records
  • Assist with onboarding new staff and minor technical issues

Finance & Procurement:

  • Process sales invoices and manage all business purchases
  • Support contract tenders, negotiate cost savings, and handle supplier invoices
  • Manage credit control, account queries, fuel orders, and vehicle taxing
  • Provide administrative support to the Operations team

Storage Administration:

  • Coordinate with warehouse teams on customer storage and billing

Systems Development:

  • Help implement new transport systems and propose improvements

The Ideal Candidate:

Our client is looking for a self-motivated individual who is highly organised and detail-orientated. The ideal candidate will have experience in business administration and a strong understanding of finance processes.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Qualification or demonstrable experience in Business Administration
  • Desirable: 3 years' experience working in finance
  • Proven experience as a leader in an Office Manager role or similar
  • Demonstrable commercial acumen
  • Strong organisational, time management, and multitasking skills
  • Excellent people and customer skills
  • Proficiency in office software and technology
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative
