Purchase Ledger Manager

CMA is recruiting for our successful Poole, Dorset based client, due to a busy period they are in need of additional support within their finance team on a temporary basis. A purchase ledger manager you will be predominantly supporting in purchase ledger overseeing a small team of two with the day to day running of the ledger, in addition to supporting in additional projects such as streamlining and efficiency improvement. This is a 12-month temporary assignment whoever there is an opportunity for this to become into a permeant role.

Reporting into a Finance Director, you will be complimenting an existing finance team and enhancing this fast paced and high-volume area of this accounts function.

What will the Purchase Ledger Manager role involve?

  • proving the payables process to ensure that suppliers are paid accurately and within payment terms;
  • Motivating, coaching and appraising the Accounts Payable team;
  • Providing an excellent service to suppliers and to internal functions, including resolving queries by phone and email;
  • Managing the weekly payment cycle;
  • Overseeing supplier statement reconciliations, ensuring that discrepancies are actioned promptly;
  • Assisting with financial projects including process improvement.

Suitable Candidate for the Purchase ledger Manager vacancy:

  • Previous experience overseeing a team;
  • Will have an experienced background in high volume purchase ledger processing;
  • This is an ideal position for a purchase ledger professional looking to utilise their knowledge in a fast-paced business;
  • Immediate to start;
  • A keenness to join a close knit finance team with a ‘can do' attitude;
  • Confident Excel user to V-lookup and pivot table.
