CNC Machine Programmer and Operator
Location: Walsall Wood
Pay: £16ph (up to)
Working Hours: Monday – Thursday, 7:30am – 17:45pm (39hrs)
Kerry Collins is currently recruiting for an experience CNC machine programmer on behalf of our well-established client, who are based within the Walsall area.
**Must have experience in CNC Lathe with live tooling and 3 and 5 axis milling**
Kery Duties/Responsibilities.
- Programme and operate all aspects of CNC Machining Centres with identified priorities as set out by project management.
- Self-checking of all machined components to establish conformity to designed part.
- Contribute to all tool making finishing operations.
- General maintenance of machines to keep in good working order.
- Ensure a safe working environment.
- Adhere to all ISO9001 processes and controls in place.
- Following health and safety procedures
- Any other reasonable ADHOC duties
- Maintain cutting tools to the required level.
- Preparation of raw materials for machining
Experience required.
- 5+ years' experience within a similar role.
- Knowledge of: Heidenhain/Hurco/Haas Control preferred.
- Use of CAD/CAM software
- A good understanding of tool making processes.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Good communicator
- Good planning and organization skills
- Use of Grinders, horizontal band saw, and similar skills required.
- Quality check.
