Specialty Doctor £75,000 Worcestershire Permanent Private hospital
Spencer Clarke Group are looking for a Speciality Doctor to join our private client. The hospital provide comprehensive psychiatric care with thirty-three beds across three wards, including:
- A ten-bedded female NHS Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit
- A thirteen-bedded mixed-gender NHS acute service
- A private acute ward catering to both men and women
In addition to their inpatient services, the hospital also has a large Outpatient department and regional conference facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily medical cover to inpatients
- Conduct thorough assessments, appropriate investigations, diagnoses, and treatments under the supervision of the Consultant Psychiatrist
- Interview and reassess patients regularly to monitor and modify treatment plans as needed
- Communicate effectively with ward staff, including participating in daily morning handovers
- Develop treatment plans within the multidisciplinary team settings
- Maintain clear, comprehensive medical notes
- No on-call responsibilities, with 24/7 RMO cover available for physical health care and new admissions
Requirements:
- Full and valid GMC registration
- Preferably 12 months of adult psychiatry experience and relevant experience in a similar setting
- Approval under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 (2007) and the Mental Capacity Act 2005
- Excellent skills in interviewing, assessing, and treating patients with clear medical documentation
- Proven record of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
- Positive attitude, commitment to change, improvement, and quality
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
