Are you a recent graduate and not sure what to do next? Or are you someone with a passion for making a positive impact in others' lives?

Hours - The hours to be discussed at the interview stage / flexibility required (Between 3 and 4 days per week)

Pay rate & Benefits:

Pay -Up to £140 per day - Term time only.

Location - UWE Bristol

Holidays: 5.6 weeks (pro rata)

Nest Pension Scheme

Bespoke training on the client's particular requirements will be provided

About our Client

Our client is a third year Architect Student studying her degree at The University of the West of England.

She has a complex neurological condition that affects her mobility and gastrointestinal system.

Her many hobbies include watching films & comedy and music.

The client leads a very active social life by meeting up with friends and family.

With a joyful and delightful persona, as well as a good sense of humour, our client enjoys going out to social events, such as parties, pubs and nights out.

"I am a determined, calm and hard-working person. I love being outside and am passionate about wildlife, green spaces and the sea. At home, I have lots of pets including goats, cats, a dog and chickens- they are a big part of my life. I love film, theatre, comedy and music. I love going to music festivals and really enjoy live music. I love being creative and spend a lot of time doing art. I am half Spanish (Catalan) and would like to improve my language skills and possibly travel. I have a diverse group of friends at university and spend a lot of time with my course or basketball friends.

About the Job

You will provide our client's academic support and health and social care.

This role goes far beyond simply care work, and includes all the fun things you'd expect a second-year university student to be doing, like getting out and about to see friends, going to parties, the cinema, going on holiday and much more!

Care experience is not required as full training in our client's particular requirements will be provided.

5.6 weeks holiday pro rata.

About You

You are unlikely to have experience in every aspect of our client's care therefore full training in her particular needs is provided.

You will need

  • To be adaptable, cool & calm, friendly and fun loving
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work on your own initiative
  • To be inclusive and accepting
  • To have a good sense of humour
  • A mature and responsible attitude
  • Good communication skills
  • To be fluent in English; Both verbal and written
  • To be confident in a Medical setting; for example, to support me at a hospital or doctor's -appointment.
  • Covid-19 vaccination preferred but not essential
  • To be clean and tidy in both your appearance and ways
  • To be a non-smoker is preferred
