Our client is now recruiting for an experienced Legal Assistant to join its expanding conveyancing team in Waterlooville, Hampshire.
My client is a Lexcel accredited & reputable multi-service Law Firm covering the South Coast.
The practice is looking for an individual with drive and ambition, who can work on their own initiative as well as in a team, take ownership and manage their own casework, with an emphasis on excellent written and verbal communication.
The Role & Responsibilities:
- Carrying out all required administrative duties on conveyancing matters
- Opening files electronically and setting up paper files including conflict & ID checks for client.
- Prepare correspondence and documents using digital dictation, closing, storage and retrieval of files
- Liaising with clients and third parties during the course of the file.
Person Specification:
- The successful candidate would have knowledge and experience in this area of law
- Able to communicate in a professional manner with internal and external contacts
- Commitment to providing excellent client care
- Excellent IT skills to include Outlook, Word and Excel
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task
- Ability to work well under pressure, adapt to changing requirements
- Team-focus with a flexible "can do" and collaborative approach to working with others, but also able to work alone.
- Confidence to communicate with all levels in order to manage expectations and maintain effective working relationships
