Role Purpose: The Credit Control Manager will oversee all credit control activities, ensuring customers pay within agreed terms. This role involves managing aged debt, conducting risk assessments, and collaborating with senior management to optimize credit control processes and reduce bad debt exposure.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and coordinate all credit control activities.
  2. Implement improvements in cash collection, cash allocation, and customer query management.
  3. Maintain compliance with relevant legislation and best practices.
  4. Develop and manage the credit control team to achieve business objectives.
  5. Provide detailed monthly and weekly reports for the Financial Controller and Senior Leadership Team.
  6. Conduct risk management policy reviews and implement necessary modifications.
  7. Negotiate payment plans with customers and resolve escalated queries.
  8. Assist with internal and external audits and risk assessments.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum GCSE passes with A-C grades in Maths.
  • AAT/ACCA/CIMA Qualification (Essential).
  • At least 5 years of experience in credit control.
  • Proven experience in team management and developing credit control processes.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially during complex customer negotiations.
