We are seeking a passionate and skilled Management Accountant to join our team to help us deliver an exciting new SAP S4 Hana system successfully.

In this pivotal role, you will ensure compliance with financial controls policies and procedures, address control issues, and communicate crucial financial control messages across our finance teams. As the key point of contact for Business Partners and the Management Accounting Manager, you will champion standardisation, automation, efficiency, and compliance, while embracing opportunities for innovation and technological advancement. What you'll be doing:

  • Execute month-end processes, including accruals, prepayments, and variance reviews.
  • Ensure the accuracy of actual costs and compliance with financial control policies.
  • Collaborate with business partners to review results, reflecting true business performance.
  • Provide timely and accurate monthly reporting, offering insights into variances.
  • Lead the forecasting process, challenging assumptions and balancing risks and opportunities.
  • Manage control accounts, monitor performance, and report on issues.
  • Ensure adherence to controls, processes, and policies across finance teams.
  • Lead the budget process, integrating key milestones and objectives.
  • Complete testing activities for SAP S4 Hana and ECC6 where required
  • Identify and deliver process changes resulting from S4 Hana system implementation
  • Update Policy and Procedure documents where required to adapt to business change
  • Support the wider finance team through S4 go live activities and establish new business as usual ways of working

What does it take to be successful?

  • Qualified Accountant or qualified by experience
  • Excellent SAP skills and accounting system expertise are essential
  • Management accounting experience
  • Understanding & application of modern management accounting techniques
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Understanding of relationship between financial and non-financial information
  • Ability to communicate financial information to non-financial managers
  • Ability to adapt and challenge
  • Good self-organisation to support ability to hit deadlines
  • Business acumen
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly Excel and Word
