Role: Procurement Officer (Digital)

Type: 6 months contract (potential extension)

Salary: £46k - 52k per annum

Hybrid working: 2-3 days on-site per week

Location: West Midlands

Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for a Procurement Officer for our Public Sector client.

Key responsibilities for the Procurement Officer are;

  • Take the lead in the WMIN's comprehensive procurement process for the Converged Digital Imaging Platform
  • Create an IT procurement plan and carry out the decided upon plan, securing support from the team
  • Take the lead and oversee the intricate tender and procurement processes, including the preparation of contract and tender documents
  • Offer specialised knowledge in procurement, including in-depth understanding of all pertinent supplier marketplaces and commodities
  • Assist in putting plans in place to make it easier for WMIN Trusts to cooperate and carry out the necessary business strategy and contracts, like MOUs and collaboration agreements
  • To provide participating Trusts with a CDIP that is both high-quality and functionally sound
  • To enable easy sharing of pictures amongst participating Trusts
  • To cut participating Trusts' existing imaging platform expenditures overall by at least 10%
  • To provide a decrease in the price of outsourced reporting
  • To facilitate easy access to images and imaging data so that patients can receive pertinent and appropriate care at the time of contact
  • To maximise worker effectiveness by enabling seamless access to personnel images and imaging data.

The Ideal candidate for the systems Accountant will have;

  • Purchasing PACS/RIS solutions, hardware, software, maintenance, and support for clinical IT systems
  • Purchasing business apps in the cloud and on-premises
  • Prior experience collaborating with reputable Clinical IT vendors
  • Actively guide colleagues through the entire sourcing and procurement process to guarantee that the best value for the money is obtained and that risks are recognised and reduced
  • Commercial Guidance: Provide our companies with guidance on effective and efficient procurement methods
  • Trusted Partner: Serve as the main point of contact for supply chain management activities by establishing, cultivating, and maintaining relationships with all stakeholders, including outside partners, through effective communication
  • Prior expertise and understanding of negotiating external approval procedures like Cabinet Office Spend Controls with success.
