Job Summary:

Parkside Recruitment are seeking a skilled CNC Operator our client in High Wycombe.

The CNC Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality foam products according to specifications.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with CNC machinery, strong technical skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as cutting, shaping, and milling foam materials.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job orders to determine product specifications and tooling requirements.
  • Load raw materials into the machine and monitor the production process to ensure accuracy and quality of finished products.
  • Adjust machine settings and tool offsets as necessary to maintain proper dimensions and tolerances.
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts.
  • Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards before releasing them for further processing or shipping.
  • Troubleshoot issues that arise during the production process and make necessary adjustments to resolve them.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.

Requirements:

  • GCSCES or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a CNC Operator or similar role.
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills.
  • Familiarity with CNC programming and G-code is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials as needed.
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
